In this advanced age of telecommunication, mobile phone has become an unavoidable necessity. Every second person is seen carrying a cell phone. Apart from the elderly people, it’s amazing to see the increasing number of kids using mobiles excessively. It provides parents a great relieve to contact their children very comfortably while they are away from home. Nevertheless where at one hand this is a blessing, at the same time it is also causing many problems for both parents and the kids. Parents may edify their children about the precautionary measures necessary to be taken while they use their sets. You should exercise control over your offspring that you are aware how to keep the privacy secure. Some of the following points may be helpful in this regard.

No Answer to unknown numbers: Tell your children to never respond to any unknown number. Either it’s a phone call or text, you should never respond to such obnoxious numbers. It not only wastes money and time, but also clears path way for the next person to irritate you more. You reply once and he will respond twice and the cycle will go on. So in order to avoid any sort of aggravations, it’s better to nip the evil in the bud.

Be careful in leaking out your number: Try to be vigilant enough not to circulate your cell number unnecessarily. Tell your children that it is something personal and not to be given to everyone. Your toddler should also be aware about the factor that if he/she texts anyone just for fun sake, their number will be obtained by the receiver, thus their assumption of being anonymous is totally wrong. So educate them to use this device positively otherwise you have the right to take it back from them.

Reporting about unknown numbers: Teach your children to tell immediately about any call or text they get from an unknown number. They should right away bring it to the attention of their parents. Parents being experienced may look into the matter more carefully than the children themselves. They might bring it into the notice of police in case of receiving any threatening calls. Moreover parents may search for the caller’s details via the various available cell phone searches.
